Last Revised December 2018 (Recent changes to rules are in red)

1) There will be a $150 annual fee for the league entry.  For the initial season the money is due at the draft, but starting in 2012 dues must be paid before the Rookie Draft. $135 of that will go into prizes and $15 of it will go towards using CBS.

2) After we hold the initial dynasty draft, the draft order for the Rookie Draft and Restricted Free Agent draft will be determined by reverse order of the standings.  10th place finish will earn the 1st overall pick in the rookie draft, 9th will pick 2nd and so on.  The draft will NOT be a snake draft.  So the 10th place finisher will draft first every round.

2A) The top 6 picks of the draft are determined by consolation games in the playoffs.Teams finishing 9th and 10th will play each other for 1st and 2nd picks.Teams finishing 7th and 8th will play each other for 3rd and 4th picks. The first round playoff losers will play each other the following week for 5th and 6th picks. The final 4 picks will be determined by reverse order of playoff finish.

3) The Rookie Draft will take place in May/June each year.  An exact date will be determined depending on when the NFL Draft takes place and to give enough time to prepare for the Rookie Draft.  The draft will take place via text message.  You do not have to select anyone in the draft, or you can select as many players as you like.  Once you stop drafting we will skip your pick for the remainder of the draft.

4) Roster cuts following the Rookie Draft are due by the completion of the third preseason week. All rosters must be cut back to 35 players, excluding IR slots. The actually deadline will be provided based on the schedule each season.

5) The Restricted Free Agent Draft will take place in August each year.  An exact date will be determined depending on the pre-season schedule.  The draft will take place during the fourth preseason week.  This draft is for all free agents that were not on a roster after the roster cuts are made.  For instance, a 4th string RB becomes a starter and no one has him on their team, he would be part of this draft rather than a free for all during the offseason.  For every pick you make you have to name a player to release, and you can make as many selections as you want in this draft or you do not have to make any.

5A) Players dropped during the RFA Draft are not eligible to be drafted later in the draft.  The players that are dropped will become free agents and will be available during the first waiver cycle.

6) Rosters will consist of the following:  (35) Total Spots

13 Starters

2 QB's

3 RB's

3 WR's

1 TE

2 Def's

2 K's

22 Bench Spots (This can consist of any position(s) you want)

*** You will not be allowed to roster more than 3 team defenses, or 3 kickers, at any time.  This will insure that there are always two available via free agency. The only exception to the rule is you are allowed to place a kicker on IR.The IR kicker does not count towards the 3.

7) Following a vote in 2018, there are not 5 IR spots per roster.A player must be classified as IR eligible per CBS.

8) Roster adjustments can be made any time following the completion of the Restricted Free Agent Draft through the end of the season.  Once Week 17 is complete, all Free Agent additions will be locked and not allowed.  All transactions must be made on CBS, and during the season within the time restrictions for kickoffs.  CBS is set to lock players in 5 minutes before the scheduled kickoff of their game.  The only exception is if there is problem accessing the internet. If that happens you may call me, but you still have to have it into me before the players involved play that week.

9) Transaction Fees - I haven't collected the transaction fees in years. If anyone wants to donate to the website fees/maintenance I am open for donations.

10) The Waiver / Claim order is the same list. The order will start 2011 in reverse order of the draft order, and it will never reset.  Once you make a claim you will go to the end of the line.  At the end of each season the order will carry over to the following season.

10A) When a player is dropped he will be put on waivers. Any team that is interested will have 48 hours to claim him (Example: If a player is dropped on a Tuesday at 10AM he will be on waivers until Thursday at 10AM). The team with the highest waiver priority will get him. If no one claims him in the 48 hours he will become a Free Agent.

10B)  Players who are free agents lock 5 minutes before their game and go on the claim list for the following week.  Claim requests must be received by 8PM Tuesday on CBS and they will be processed at 9PM on Tuesday.  If a player does not get claimed they become a free agent and the process repeats every week.

11) Trades may also be made anytime free of charge.  Now that we are doing a Dynasty League please use good judgement when making trades.  I do not think we have ever had to reverse or vote on a trade, so I just ask that everyone play fair and don't ruin your team on purpose.  As always, if anyone feels there is a problem with a trade then we will have a league vote to see if the trade should pass or not excluding the teams involved.  If someone feels a trade is controversial we will vote on it. If you think a trade is unfair you have 24 hours to let me know so we can vote, otherwise it will be passed. The teams involved will not take part in the vote. Since we have an even amount of people you will need majority to pass. A tie vote results in a veto.

11A) Trading of future draft picks will be allowed, however I will set some guidelines.

11A1) You cannot trade picks further out than two years.  For example, if you want to make a trade in 2011 that includes Rookie Draft picks, you can trade 2012 and 2013 picks only.  I will keep track of trades on the website.

11A2) Also, you cannot trade draft picks for seasons in which you have not paid the league dues.  I do not want someone to trade away all of their picks and leave the league, we will never be able to replace the owner.

11B) Trading of draft picks for the Restricted Free Agent Draft will also be allowed, however you can only trade for the current season.  So leading up to the draft in 2012, you may trade picks for that draft and that draft only.

12) Stats will be done by CBS. If anyone has a dispute in points just contact me and I will look into them. All official stats and results for teams are usually posted by CBS on Tuesday.

12A)  If there happens to be a stat correction made after the current week has already ended the league voted in November 2005 to make all stats final as of Tuesday.

13) The top 3 places in the league will be determined by Overall Points and by the Playoffs. See the payouts to see exactly how much each spot will be rewarded for each.

10A) Total Points Weeks 1 - 17 will count towards Overall Points even though there are no Head to Head games scheduled for week 17. If there is a tie for any spot in Overall Points, the person with the highest one week total will place higher.

10B) Head to Head (Playoff Seeding)  The top 6 teams using Head to Head record will qualify for the playoffs.  The top two seeds receive a first round bye during the playoffs.  The bracket will reseed teams after the opening round so that the #1 seed plays the lowest seed remaining.  If there is a tie for any playoff spot the tiebreaker is simple.  If you are tied with one person only you use record against to determine your seed.  If you split (went 1-1) against them in the regular season then use total points.  If there is a tie with two or more people you use total points to decide the seeding.

14)  In the event of a tie during a playoff game the winner will be determined by the following...

First 2 Rounds:
1) Award decimal points for yardage for QB, RB, WR, and TE individually. For Passing Yards every yard above the normal scoring is an extra .04 points (258 pass yards would be 10.32 points), and for Rushing and Receiving every yard above normal scoring is an extra .1 points (78 receiving would be 7.8 / 109 rushing would be 10.9). There are no decimal points given out to K's and D's (Unless the K were to play on offense and pass/rush/rec).  Since we allow for negative points, any negative yardage will be subtracted as well.
2) If you are still tied after decimal points than it goes to the team with the highest scoring starting player.
3) If both teams are tied after the first 2 tiebreakers then the team with the highest playoff seed would advance.

Super Bowl Tiebreaker
1) Same as #1 for above
2) If still tied after decimal points than the game will be replayed in Week 17. I think this is only fair if the game is tied after the first tiebreaker.

15)  The league voted in October 2007 to no longer have ties during regular season games.  The process is similar to the playoff process...

Regular Season:

1) Award decimal points for yardage for QB, RB, WR, and TE individually. For Passing Yards every yard above the normal scoring is an extra .04 points (258 pass yards would be 10.32 points), and for Rushing and Receiving every yard above normal scoring is an extra .1 points (78 receiving would be 7.8 / 109 rushing would be 10.9). There are no decimal points given out to K's and D's (Unless the K were to play on offense and pass/rush/rec).  Since we allow for negative points, any negative yardage will be subtracted as well (87 receiving and -5 rushing would be 8.2 points).

2) If you are still tied after decimal points than it goes to the team with the highest scoring starting player.

3) (Different That Playoff Method) If still tied after the first 2 then it will go to the team with the highest total bench scoring.

4) Next would be the highest single scorer on the bench.

5) If anyone is still tied after that then oh well, you will just have to fight about it or we will flip a coin.

16)  Going into the final weeks of the season, Tanking or Losing on purpose will not be allowed.  If the commissioner feels you are avoiding playing your best roster he holds the right to have you moved to the end of the draft order.  I do not want a situation where the 10th place team benches all of his starters to insure they get the #1 pick, and in turn a team they are facing goes from 7th to 6th and makes the playoffs because of this.  Obviously there is some gray area with this rule, but everyone should understand what the rule is intended for.

17)  Replacement Draft / New Owner This rule is to make sure that if a team bails on a terrible team that a new owner has some help in rebuilding the bad team.  In order for the Draft to take place, the team had to finish with 5 or fewer wins the previous season.  If someone takes over the best team I am not going to reward them with additional players.  The Replacement Draft will be run with the following guidelines:

17A) The other 9 owners can protect 15 players from their 35 man rosters.  These players cannot be taken by the replacement owner in the draft.  The replacement owner can select players from the remaining 20 unprotected players of each team.

17B) Once a player is selected from a team, that teams owner will be able to protect an additional 10 players, meaning they can then protect 25 of the remaining 34 players on their roster.

17C) The maximum amount of players that can be selected from any team is 2 players, meaning the maximum amount of players that can be taken in the draft is 20 players.

17D) For each selection the replacement owner makes, they will have to drop a player from their 35 man roster.
